Who is Jesus, and why did He come?

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:16

"For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved."
John 3:17

Why do we need Jesus to be saved?

"And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam [was made] a quickening spirit."
1 Corinthians 15:45

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
John 14:6

"For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive."

Why should a good person who doesn't accept Jesus go to Hell?

"Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified;"
Galatians 2:16

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:"

Would God send us to Hell if we don't believe in Him or Jesus?

"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:"
Romans 3:10

"For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think [of himself] more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith."

"Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God."

So what must I do to be Saved?

"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
John 3:3

"Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."
John 3:7

"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever."
1 Peter 1:23

How can I know I'm born again and saved?

"He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."
Matthew 16:16

"I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture."
John 10:9

"And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Acts 2:21

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."
Acts 4:12

"And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house."
Acts 16:31

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Romans 10:9

"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Romans 10:10

You see we can't earn our way to Heaven, and we can't be good enough to win God's approval. If we could, then Jesus would have came and died and rose again for no reason. When you do not accept Him as your Lord and Savior you are telling God just that: Jesus, as far as you are concerned, died and rose from the dead for no reason.

Pray to God in the name of Jesus and do what the last two verses say and you can know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are truly saved. For God is not a lier. He is the truth.
